This image came up in my Gentlemint feed the other day and I thought it fits the theme of Live Deliberately quite well, don’t you?
The sales copy on the Ranger Up website (who sells the t-shirt) reads as follows:
Some people are born richer.
Some people are born smarter.
Some people are born luckier.
But if you want to achieve, the only way to do it is to work for it.
You must be relentless, unswerving in your devotion to reaching your goal, and harder on yourself than anyone else. You can’t take solace in other people telling you “good try” or “tough break”. You need to hate failure more than you love success, because you’ll forget goals the second you achieve them, but failure will live with you forever.
And if you choose not to push, then Don’t be upset by the results you didn’t get with the work you didn’t do.
Though I wouldn’t recommend everything on their website, there’s a lot of truth in these words. Often all there is to do is work, and work hard to get the results you want.
What work do you need to do to achieve the goals you have?
