To recap the last month, below are my five top posts for October 2012 and some observations based on the data from WordPress Site Stats and Google Analytics.

After a down month in September, the traffic stats from October are encouraging to me; both visits and unique visitors were slightly more than double (up 103% and 101% respectively). A few factors played into this.

To recap the last month, below are my five top posts for September 2012 and some observations based on the data from WordPress Site Stats and Google Analytics.

Unfortunately, after three months of consistent, steady growth in every major metric, September was a down month for traffic overall. There’s no question that I’ve not been taking the time needed to keep up with my goal of two-plus posts per week. There has been a couple of family/personal related items that have unexpectedly taken time away from when I normally take up writing posts and otherwise maintaining this blog… perhaps a post for next week. Stay tuned.

To recap the last month, below are my five top posts for August 2012 and some observations based on the data from WordPress Site Stats and Google Analytics.

The up-swing continues in both pageviews and unique visitors after a brief time of intentional, minimized posting in May and June following the birth of our daughter on April 21st. My goal has been and continues to be 2 posts per week with a “lighter” post (quote, picture, or video) most weekends. I was just shy of that goal this month.

To recap the last month, below are my five top posts for July 2012 and some observations based on the data from WordPress Site Stats and Google Analytics. Last month was definitely up as I returned to my regular posting frequency after a brief time of intentional, minimized posting in May and June following the birth of our daughter on April 21st. Now, with a routine having been established and a somewhat regular rhythm to our days as a family again, I am back into the swing of things with the blog.

To recap the last month, below are my top five posts for May 2012 and some observations based on the data from WordPress Site Stats and Google Analytics. It was a different month as far as post frequency and number of posts as I took nearly the whole month off because of needing to just simply invest time with my family following the birth of our daughter on April 21st. Now, with her being more than a month old, a routine is being established and I am getting back into the swing of things with the blog and a few other things.

Last month was definitely down as the number of new posts was very limited and I am still working on retaining new traffic that visits. An e-book is in the works as an incentive for those who subscribe to blog updates via e-mail. I am very excited about this. You don’t have to wait until the e-book is complete to receive it however. If you subscribe to posts via e-mail (link to the right, under my picture and Twitter count), I will send it to you upon completion.

Again, I am so thankful to you who read. I trust what’s posted is beneficial to your personal growth.

To recap the last month, below are my top five posts for April 2012 and some observations based on the data from WordPress Site Stats and Google Analytics. It was a different month as far as post frequency and number of posts as I essentially took the last half of the month off because of the birth of our daughter on April 21st. Now, with her being more than two weeks old, we are getting into a bit of a rhythm in our household and thus back into the swing of things regarding the blog.

Because of the break I took, April ended up being what you might call a “hold its own” month. Had I continued my normal post frequency, it looks very likely that my blog would have continued the growth trend it has seen every month to date for 5 months previous, which is 35% growth each month. Thank you for reading!
